Gil's World of Music Timeline and List of Past Shows
This is a list of "Official" Gil shows and themes from all platforms (Justin.tv, Vaughn.live, Camup, Mixcloud and Twitch). The list shows the official show number, the webcast date, the theme for the night (if any), and often a comment. A select few other significant streaming or music-related events are listed as well. Except as noted, all official webcasts occurred on a Monday night. The shows generally ranged from 3 to 5 hours in length. Unofficial, ad hoc or "Stealth" casts (of which there have been many) for the most part were not kept track of, although some from 2013-2015 were archived and are listed below.Show # | Date | Theme & Comments |

If I get time later, I will fill in some of the particulars. I maintain this page just for record-keeping purposes and mostly for my own benefit. Thanks again to all who watch and participate. |

A lot of folks filtered in, and we ended up screening a bunch of videos requested by the viewers. The post-cast replays (plural) were Cast #274 from Feb 29 2016 (theme: broken things) and last night's Cast #372. IMO, these particular casts (the two replayed ones) are a couple of the best ones in the archive for how I'd like these casts to be. |
372 | Feb 28 2021 | Impromptu cast following JJ's Sunday night cast. Went about an hour and a half. Playlists: "Love Is the Drug" and "President Gas". Finished up with some Kenny Wayne Shepherd for Amped. Talked a little webcasting shop. Even though it was short notice, I'm counting this as an "official" cast. Eight or nine of our regulars participated, and I used prepared playlists. |
371 | Feb 22 2021 | Finally some warmer weather! Playlists: "Hello It's Me (Workshy)", "Dawn", "Under the Sea", and "I Saw Her Standing There". Update on the Subway tuna sandwich lawsuit. Video of the upcoming Beatles "Get Back" documentary. Sadly, we learned beloved Vaughnlive member Veronica passed away, so we had some songs in her memory. Kathy's song ("Stamina") and Amped's song ("Inner Strength"). Video of OK Go's Rube Goldberg machine. Various great viewer requests. The post-cast replay was Cast #369 from Feb 08 2021 (just two weeks earlier, instead of the five year old ones that were being presented). |
370 | Feb 15 2021 | Much of the country was in the throes of a crippling and dangerous polar vortex with record cold temperatures and regional power outages. In light of that, we had a mini-theme of "Freezing". Playlists: "Slackjawed" (The Connells), "Masterpiece" (Gazebo), and "Open My Eyes" (Nazz). Videos from Bean, Rob, and Frankie. Kathy continues to recuperate. Her songs were "Down, But Not Out", "Ooh I Like Your Loving", "True Love Travels on a Gravel Road", and "Tijunana Taxi." Amped's song was "Strong Beautiful Woman". Reviewed the Dreamscape NE IPA. The post-cast replay was Cast #272 from Feb 15 2016 (theme: songs about people named John [or Johnny]). |
369 | Feb 08 2021 | It's Bean's birthday! Playlists: "Cold as Ice", "I Am Woman" (for Amped), "The Rain the Park and Other Things" (also for Amped), "Twilight Zone", "Oh You Beautiful Doll", and "One & One". Get Well songs for Kathy. Bean videos (Cake & Primus). Frankie videos (Michael Learns to Rock & Juliette). Sanctum video (Offspring). Dreamscape Red IPA tasting! The post-cast replay was Cast #271 from Feb 08 2016 (theme: Go Away, Leave!). |
--- | Feb 07 2021 | "Music on Autopilot" again. "Overnight Groove" songs. |
--- | Feb 04 2021 | "Music on Autopilot" cast, beginning around 1:30am, ended around 12 hours later. Played the songs presented during the regular casts of January 29, February 19 & February 26, 2018 (casts #305, #306 & #307). Music on Autopilot casts are not included in the "official" tally of casts. |
368 | Feb 01 2021 | Lots of folks for this cast. Thank you very much! Playlists: "I Dig Rock & Roll Music", "Oh Darling! (with Wasted Days & Wasted Nights)", "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover", and "Listen (songs for Kathy)". We want toenail to continue to recuperate. Mini-feature on Tuna as we read about the lawsuit against Subway's (fake?) tuna sandwiches. Bean's videos, plus Tessa Violet, Dida, and Jain. The post-cast replay was Cast #270 from Feb 01 2016 which included a memorial to Paul Kantner and coverage of that day's Iowa Caucuses. |
367 | Jan 25 2021 | Playlists: "Ripple", "Street Fighting Man", and an unnamed short list that started with the McGuire Sisters. Kathy's song: "Tickle Toe Song", and we were sad to hear of her mishap and hope she recovers speedily. The video theme was #1 Pop Songs from the "decade" years of 2020, 2010, 2000, etc., all the way back to 1900. Requests included Kenny Wayne Shepherd and some blues in general, the Cowsills, the Glass Duo, Cake, and Ruby Murray. Artist feature: Princess Chelsea. The post-cast replay was Cast #269 from Jan 25 2016, a "no theme" cast. |
366 | Jan 18 2021 | Tonight's cast featured mini-themes of "The Devil" and "Fingers", the latter accompanying our discussion of how to open a plastic produce bag. Kathy's song was "Kinky Love". Frankie treated us to some love songs, and Amped to some Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Tonight's sole playlist was unnamed other than the time designation of "1h46m". The post-cast replay was Cast #268 from Jan 18 2016 (theme: Goodbyes). The replays now play twice and then stop, unlike previously when they looped until I shut them off. |
365 | Jan 11 2021 | Our regular cast started at its new later time of 10pm EST while still ending at 2am. Chat was non-functional for the first half hour. Mini-theme: "Year of the ...?". Playlists: "Billie Jean (MZ)", "That's My Girl", "Rockin' Robin", and "I Can See Clearly Now". Julia Lee songs for Kathy. Request contributions from Bean and new viewer Mustard45. "Appliance" songs about washing machines, refrigerators and ovens. Brought out the old Revox A77 Mk IV for Lou. The post-cast replay was the David Bowie memorial from Jan 11 2016 (Cast #267). |
364 | Jan 04 2021 | The first cast of the new year, 9pm-2am EST. Trump was rallying in Georgia, so some of that was shown (by viewer request). Mini-themes: "Amen", "Georgia", and "New Year's Resolutions". Playlists: "Light My Fire", "Most Likely You Go Your Way", and "Kodachrome". "Dallas" songs for Kathy. Tons of music and YT requests. Announced that future casts will begin at 10pm Eastern instead of 9pm, making future live casts 4 hours long. The post-cast replay was Cast #266 from Jan 4 2016 where the theme was "Hello". I did some checking and found that I have 224 past casts archived to video, including tonight's. Of those, 130 are from JTV and 94 are from VL. Some (13 or so) are recordings of ad hoc casts. |
363 | Dec 28 2020 | The final regular cast of 2020. Playlists: "All Come True", "Beautiful Loser" and "Rex Smith: You Take My Breath Away" (the latter for Craig). Mini-theme of Top Blues Guitarists of 2020. December tunes. Doo wop for Wil. Many requests, including YouTube vids. White Rabbit by Chillheimer. The post-cast replay was Cast #265 from Dec 28 2015 where "Bill" visited for the final 2 1/2 hours. Post-cast stats: 325 favs, 47285 views. |
362 | Dec 21 2020 | Tonight was the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction (and, yes, we had songs for that). This was also the "special" Christmas Week Show prepared with no Christmas tunes whatsoever. Bean72 and RodriAna got us on a classical music track for awhile. Playlists included "Aquarius", "Space Oddity", and "What Do You Want from Me". We had lots of other good requests, too. Tonight's post-cast replay was Cast #216 from December 8, 2014, where the themes were "C" names, and "Goodbye" because it was the final cast of the year. Cast #216 began with the infamous "Tyranny of Christmas" opening slide. |
361 | Dec 14 2020 | Fun cast with lots of participation. Playlists used: "It Doesn't Matter at All" (10cc) and "I'm Looking Through You" (Beatles). RIP Charley Pride. Artist feature: Bee Gees prior to 1976. This was Vaccination Day, so I had some special vax songs sprinkled throughout. The overnight replay was Cast #264 from December 14, 2015, plus a replay of Get Well Wishes for Hank from February 18, 2013 (excerpt from Cast #123). Channel stats at the end of the live cast: 322 favs, 46961 views. The overnight replay drew an additional 36 views, and was the #1 People channel at 8:30am the next morning with 9 anonymous viewers. |
--- | Dec 08 2020 | Because Wil "Headstockburn" did not do his usual cast this evening (which actually starts in the wee hours of the next morning), I put up an overnight replay of Cast #262 from November 30, 2015. Since there was no live content, this does not count as a new official cast. |
360 | Dec 07 2020 | This cast incorporated these playlists: "Live Your Life Be Free," "Jessie's Girl (orchestral version)," and "Talk to Your Daughter". A mini-theme was "Chains". Chatters asked what was the first rock & roll song, so we played some candidate songs. (General consensus: Rocket 88.) Also, I debuted a new feature where an older webcast is looped overnight after the end of the regular cast. Tonight's replay was of Cast #263 from December 7, 2015. And finally, after a few years of not retaining a copy of official casts, I started doing it again. So this cast and later ones are being saved for potential reuse. |
359 | Nov 30 2020 | For the fifth Monday in November, we had a few November songs, and songs for each viewer's location. Also "Charms" and "Xanadu" playlists, plus Ladies of Jazz. Showed the Revox A77 Mk IV. |
358 | Nov 23 2020 | Thanksgiving Week cast had installment #1 of Food Groups. Also "Melissa" and "That's All Right" playlists, and lots of viewer requests. |
357 | Nov 16 2020 | Introduced the new webcam. B-52s artist feature. "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This", "If I Had a Hammer", "I Second That Emotion", and "Learning to Fly" playlists. |
356 | Nov 09 2020 | Just another week past in this awful year of 2020. But our Monday casts continue with a couple of new features and our usual great people. Playlists: "Rock & Roll Heart", Tommy James' "Crimson & Clover", "There, I've Said It Again", "The Sound That Love Makes", and "You're on the Top". Beginning with this cast, I started archiving the casts again. Casts after May 2016 through last week were not saved, with just a couple of exceptions. |
355 | Nov 02 2020 | Our Monday casts continue apace on this election eve. Keeping my fingers crossed. Playlists: James Bond themes, Wine, "Big Bad Leroy Brown", "Der Kommissar" (partial), "If I Can't Have You", and "Whip It". |
354 | Oct 26 2020 | Various "seed" playlists, plus requests. Welcomed AMPed and wildstraw to the cast. Ringo artist feature. Playlists used: "Hello", "Mr Spaceman", "Get a Job", "A Man's Gotta Do", "Almost Cut My Hair", and "Henry VIII". |
353 | Oct 19 2020 | "Up", "You're on the Top", and "I'll Be Waiting" seeds, plus requests. |
352 | Oct 12 2020 | Another good 5 hour cast. About an hour of doo-wop and other 50s-early 60s tunes, a Marrakesh Express "seed" playlist, and a bunch of great viewer requests. |
351 | Oct 05 2020 | This 5-hour cast included the "Rats" mini-theme for Bean72 and a raft of Beatles tunes. |
350 | Sep 28 2020 | It looks like the approximate schedule is going to be 9pm-2am EST for now. Five hours for your listening & chatting pleasure! |
349 | Sep 21 2020 | We're back in the groove and weekly casts are a thing again. |
348 | Sep 14 2020 | 5-hour plus cast. |
347 | Sep 07 2020 | Labor Day cast with a "working" mini-theme. |
346 | Aug 31 2020 | Unplanned "pop-up" Monday night cast. |
345 | Aug 29 2020 | Special 5-hour Saturday night cast. |
344 | Jun 22 2020 | Carole King cast. |
--- | Jun 15 2020 | After 6 years and 1 month-plus, this was my final day as an elected office-holder. At least this time around. |
343 | Jun 08 2020 | 2 different playlists. Discussions of Covid-19, lockdowns, Floyd protests and Antifa/BLM riots & looting. Advised of camup.tv channel. |
342 | Apr 27 2020 | Again, no overall theme, but a credible playlist. This was the last of a series of (almost) weekly casts. Casts have reverted to a status of "they happen when they happen." |
341 | Apr 20 2020 | No overall theme tonight as the Wuhan virus lockdown continues. The cast did feature a mini theme of "Sweet Dreams". |
340 | Apr 13 2020 | Continuing with "people" songs, this week's theme was "Ladies". |
339 | Apr 06 2020 | At Jen's request, we followed up last week's show with a "Something Woman" theme. We also acknowledged the passing of Bill Withers. |
--- | April 2020, various dates | Besides the regular Monday night casts, when possible I have been streaming the White House Coronavirus Task Force daily briefings. The briefings are usually led by President Trump and feature a rotating cast of experts and leaders, including VP Mike Pence, Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx, Surgeon General Jerome Adams, the heads of the FDA, CDC, CMS, the Army Corps of Engineers, and others. I find these briefings generally very informative (not always, but often). I like hearing the information directly from the source and not edited or filtered by the news media. Since I'm usually watching on my own anyway, I put these on the channel as a service to others who may be interested. I take the C-SPAN feed, as they most-reliably show the entire briefing. And as C-SPAN is a non-commercial taxpayer-funded network, I don't believe I am infringing on anyone's broadcast rights. I keep the casts in VL's "People" category because I appear on camera and interact with viewers who want to chat. |
338 | Mar 30 2020 | The new 10PM EDT start time. "Something Man" theme. Social Distancing songs. Kenny Rodgers & Joe Diffie, RIP. |
337 | Mar 16 2020 | Keeping my social distance on Vaughn Live. |
336 | Nov 18 2019 | Final cast of the year, maybe? If so, we went out on a high note. Thanks to all the viewers & chatters. No webcasts in 2019 were archived. |
335 | Nov 11 2019 | Last of the playlist backlog. Thanks to the great group of viewers that make the cast fun. |
334 | Nov 04 2019 | Working through the playlists. Good group of chatters and good tunes. |
333 | Oct 28 2019 | Working through the playlists. A little quieter this week. |
332 | Oct 21 2019 | Working through the playlist backlog. |
331 | Oct 07 2019 | 9:00pm EDT start time. Short playlist, requests taken. |
330 | Sep 09 2019 | 9:30pm EDT start time. "Rough" mini theme. |
329 | Sep 02 2019 | Labor Day cast, 9:30pm EDT start time. |
328 | Aug 12 2019 | Is 2-plus months the "near future" referenced immediately below? Probably not. Oh well. People got to participate with their song requests. 9:30pm EDT start time. |
327 | Jun 03 2019 | Back in the saddle. I have 2 more playlists in the hopper, so look for a couple more casts in the near future. |
326 | May 20 2019 | One-off cast (maybe one of two in a row). Still essentially the same format as before. |
325 | Feb 04 2019 | The "Season Finale" cast. There are no more playlists prepared at this time, so Gil's World of Music will take a break for an undetermined length of time. |
324 | Jan 28 2019 | Yet another fun cast filled with friends and good times. |
323 | Jan 21 2019 | Another fun cast enjoyed by all. |
322 | Jan 14 2019 | First cast of 2019. The channel name is now "Gil's World of Music". Kathy modded. |

319 | Sep 03 2018 | Mish-Mash cast. A collection of good tunes I haven't been able to work into earlier Mix Tape casts. Unveiled the background-embedded banner AND debuted the composer names in the "Now Playing" display. The latter is something I have wanted to do for a long time but didn't know how. |
318 | Jul 30 2018 | Grab Bag cast: Music of 30s & 40s. Multiple versions of same song. Wooing songs. New start time of 10pm ET. Featured most of the night. Again, thanks to all! |

311 | Apr 30 2018 | Mix Tape cast. Four weeks in a row! Our string will end there as I have a schedule conflict next Monday. I still have 4 unheard playlists ready to go, and a 5th "theme" cast is also available. |

308 | Apr 09 2018 | Mix Tape. Lots of viewers for this cast after a long layoff due to electioneering. We won, though, so now I can devote more Monday nights to casting. |
307 | Feb 26 2018 | Mix Tape. Joined by Daryl. Various technical issues, but we soldiered through. |
306 | Feb 19 2018 | Mix Tape cast + requests. Reached 350,000 library tracks, February 12. |
305 | Jan 29 2018 | Mix Tape cast. Chief Wahoo and other Native American mascots were discussed. |
304 | Jan 22 2018 | The casts that feature a musical progression from start to end are now referred to as "Gil's Mix Tape casts". First cast of 2018. No webcasts in 2018 were archived. |
303 | Nov 27 2017 | Another "musical journey" cast. Probably the final official cast of the year. A sincere thanks to everyone who makes this the fun & friendly cast that it is. Not archived. |
302 | Nov 19 2017 | A Sunday night cast. A good group of chatters, as is usually the case. Significant deaths today were noted: Mel Tillis, David Cassidy (which was mis-reported... he actually died a few days later), Charles Manson. Not archived. |

--- | May xx 2016 | As noted immediately below, OtC went on hiatus and ceased casting on a regular basis following the May 2 show. From here on, the Past Shows log no longer explicitly lists weeks where there was no cast. |
283 | May 02 2016 | Beautiful. After tonight, OtC will be on hiatus. Thanks to everyone for their support. This is the last cast to be archived until Cast #356 from November 9, 2020. At the time, it didn't seem worthwhile to save no-theme and irregularly scheduled casts. Too bad, because some of the shows from this era were pretty good if I do say so myself. Oh well! |

230 | Apr 20 2015 | Jazz |
229 | Apr 13 2015 | The "E" List: songs that mention a person having a first (given) name that begins with the letter "E". This is the sixth show in the "name/letter" series. |
228 | Apr 06 2015 | Luck |
227 | Mar 30 2015 | Fish & other marine life. |
226 | Mar 23 2015 | Knowing |
--- | Mar 16 2015 | No cast this week. |
225 | Mar 09 2015 | Air |
224 | Mar 02 2015 | The Wind. March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, or so the saying goes. Let's breeze into March with a gust of Windy songs. |
223 | Feb 23 2015 | The "D" List: songs that mention a person having a first (given) name that begins with the letter "D". This is the fifth show in the "name/letter" series. (Two separate casts were dedicated to the letter "B".) |
222 | Feb 16 2015 | Countries of North America (by name). This theme was a little confusing for some. The idea was to select songs that referenced a nation on the North American continent by name. Caribbean nations qualified as well, so we heard songs that mentioned the USA, "America", Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Haiti, El Salvador, Panama, and Jamaica. Part of the show was dedicated to Lesley Gore who died earlier this day. |
221 | Feb 09 2015 | Sweethearts. Valentine's Day happens Saturday of this week. |
220 | Feb 02 2015 | Shadows. It's Groundhog's Day today. |
219 | Jan 26 2015 | Doctors or Nurses, or more generically "Healthcare Professionals". |
218 | Jan 19 2015 | A Little Help. |
217 | Jan 11 2015 | Organistan. Previously did this theme almost 2 years ago (show #123). Sunday night cast. First official cast since my holiday break. |
--- | Jan 05 2015 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 1 hour 19 minutes, dubbed "Temporary Cast". I was fighting the flu. Electronic Music feature. I looked at this cast again on 10/6/2021. It was really terrible. Archive deleted! |
216 | Dec 08 2014 | The "C" List. Here we go again, except this time with the letter "C". This cast is for songs referencing people with given names beginning with the letter "C". |
215 | Dec 01 2014 | Footwear. A follow-up to the "Feet" show from September 22, 2014. |
214 | Nov 24 2014 | Alphabet Soup. Songs that include spelling (think "Respect" by Aretha) or initials (like "YMCA" by the Village People) or a recitation of the alphabet (including "The ABCs of Love" by Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers). This week I am starting to tweak the cast to eliminate aspects that take time to prepare but don't really add much to the quality of the cast. |
213 | Nov 17 2014 | In the Courtroom. The focus this week is on things related to the courtroom (trials, verdicts, testimony, judges, lawyers, juries, guilt, innocence, etc.) and not on what got you there. In other words, this week's theme isn't about various crimes or crime in general. |
212 | Nov 10 2014 | Horses |
211 | Nov 03 2014 | Magicians, including wizards and witches, plus more Magic. |
210 | Oct 27 2014 | Magic. Also, remembering Jack Bruce. [Update 3/11/2021: This cast and many subsequent casts through May 2016 are archived and available for replay. Most older casts on Vaughnlive were not saved.] |
209 | Oct 20 2014 | The "B" List (men only). Similar to the September 8th show, except it's for men's names instead of women's. "Bill" and "Billy" are heavily represented in the playlist. A few viewers couldn't quite wrap their head around this theme. I'm not sure why. |
208 | Oct 13 2014 | Fowl |
207 | Oct 06 2014 | Queens |
206 | Sep 29 2014 | Angels |
205 | Sep 22 2014 | Feet. Due to a meeting I needed to attend, tonight's live cast started late. Prior to that (and while I was absent), I reran the "50 States" show from June 4, 2012. Personally, it's kind of painful to see the me of 2 years ago. But the show was fun. |
204 | Sep 15 2014 | Cats |
203 | Sep 08 2014 | The "B" List (women only). This theme is for women's names beginning with the letter B in the song title or lyrics. This is the second installment in the "name/letter" series, the first being July 7, 2014 for the letter "A". |
202 | Sep 01 2014 | Dogs. Happy Labor Day, everyone. The theme has nothing to do with the holiday. |
201 | Aug 25 2014 | Highways. Also Expressways, Interstates, Routes, Autobahns, Freeways, Tollways, Thruways... you get the idea. This is the third in our "Transportation Infrastructure" series, having earlier done Roads (shows #190 & 191) and Streets (show #180). |
200 | Aug 18 2014 | The Devil. The 200th official Off the Charts webcast! |
199 | Aug 11 2014 | Smoke & Mirrors. Thanks to Dripstick and DropBearAntix for suggesting this theme. |
--- | Aug 05 2014 | Notable event: JTV ceases operations with no advance notice to viewers or casters. You could see this coming. |
198 | Aug 04 2014 | Psychedelia, week 2. Five years ago this week, I tried webcasting for the first time. Poor you. |
197 | Jul 28 2014 | Psychedelia, week 1. 4th anniversary of my first on-cam webcast, which I count as the first official show. |
196 | Jul 21 2014 | Heaven |
195 | Jul 14 2014 | Going Wild! |
194 | Jul 07 2014 | The "A" List ("A" Names in Song). |
193 | Jun 30 2014 | Aches, Pains and Itches. First Monday cast on VL. |
192 | Jun 27 2014 | Off the Charts "Open House", Friday 6pm-9pm Central, immediately following Jen's regular VL cast. This was my first cast on Vaughnlive. |
191 | Jun 23 2014 | Roads, Week 2. This was my final cast on JTV. |
190 | Jun 16 2014 | Roads, Week 1 |
189 | Jun 09 2014 | An Arm and a Leg (or Two). This was the final show that was archived by JTV for on-demand viewing, due to JTV's elimination of this feature. |
188 | Jun 02 2014 | Windows. Second cast with the new PC, and first full-show cast. Lots of technical problems that did NOT appear during testing earlier. Sigh. |
187 | May 26 2014 | Blues, Jump Blues, and Boogie. First cast with the new PC. Casting in Social/Social again. |
186 | May 19 2014 | Doors (the things on hinges OR the group). R.I.P. Jerry Vale. One-week experiment casting in Entertainment/Music resulted in about 1/3rd fewer viewers for the show, although today being Canada's Victoria Day might have been a factor, too. |
--- | May 15 2014 | Unofficial ad hoc 2+ hour cast. Archived. |
185 | May 12 2014 | Beg, Borrow or Steal |
184 | May 05 2014 | Viva Mexico: Cinco de Mayo! OtC passed 40,000 cumulative viewers last week. That is since November 2012. The old channel had 22,000 viewers from its inception until the cut-over. That's 62,000 viewers all-time. Thank you all for your support of Off the Charts. |
183 | Apr 28 2014 | Wrong! |
182 | Apr 21 2014 | Bad Spellerz (Groups). Also of note, my on-disk library now exceeds 183,000 tracks. |
181 | Apr 14 2014 | Folk Music |
--- | Apr 07 2014 | No official webcast this evening. Election eve. |
180 | Mar 31 2014 | Streets |
--- | Mar 24 2014 | No regular webcast this evening due to a meeting I needed to attend. I did start casting later, about 10:30pm, but I'm not counting it as an official show. There was no theme. |
179 | Mar 17 2014 | It's Green Day. (St. Patrick's Day, of course.) This is the second time we've done this theme, the first being March 14, 2011 (show #29). |
178 | Mar 10 2014 | First tracks. That is, an artist's first release, first well-received release, track 1 side 1 of the first album, or the first song that turned you the viewer onto the artist. |
177 | Mar 03 2014 | All Smiles |
176 | Feb 24 2014 | Walls & Bridges |
175 | Feb 17 2014 | Broken or Breakin' Hearts |
174 | Feb 10 2014 | Guys and Gals |
173 | Feb 03 2014 | Compass Points: North, South, East, West. Also, beginning this week, Off the Charts moves to its new Monday time slot of 8:00pm-Midnight (Central time), an hour earlier than heretofore. |
172 | Jan 27 2014 | Duos |
171 | Jan 20 2014 | Piano-ism. Music where the piano is featured. |
170 | Jan 13 2014 | 2013 Memorial, week 2. Remembering those who passed away last year. There were quite a few - too many to cover in just one show. |
169 | Jan 06 2014 | 2013 Memorial, week 1. Remembering those who passed away last year. |
--- | Jan 05 2014 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 1 hour 28 minutes. Archived. |
168 | Dec 30 2013 | Years |
167 | Dec 23 2013 | Happy Happiness |
166 | Dec 16 2013 | Big Band, Bebop, and Other Jazz. This is the third time this year for this popular theme. Previous Jazz nights this year were in July and in January. JTV implemented their new video player four days ago with the usual problems. This cast was dropped for about 15 minutes in the first hour, then proceeded the rest of the evening with no further problems. |
--- | Dec 15 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 2 hours 29 minutes. Archived. |
165 | Dec 09 2013 | Things That Are White. This theme came to mind because of the cold and snow storms that a lot of the country experienced over the past 5 days. |
164 | Dec 02 2013 | Extended Family |
--- | Nov 27 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 2 hours 12 minutes. Archived. |
--- | Nov 26 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 1 hour 45 minutes. Archived. |
163 | Nov 25 2013 | Food |
--- | Nov 20 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 50 minutes, dubbed "Chillin'". Archived. |
162 | Nov 18 2013 | Guitar Gods |
--- | Nov 13 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 2 hours 22 minutes. Archived. |
161 | Nov 11 2013 | Covers of Beatles-penned songs. We did this theme once before, but it's been awhile (see August 22, 2011). |
--- | Nov 06 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc cast, 1 hour 45 minutes. Archived. |
160 | Nov 04 2013 | Indians. Hail to the Redskins! And Chiefs. And Braves. And so on. |
159b | Oct 29 2013 | Halloween 2 of 2. Continuing with our show from yesterday, sans baseball distractions. |
159a | Oct 28 2013 | Halloween 1 of 2. As with two weeks ago, there is a baseball conflict: World Series Game #5. The first part of the show continued the repeat of the Vocalists of the 40's cast, and then we picked up with some great Halloween-themed tunes. |
158 | Oct 21 2013 | Trees |
--- | Oct 16 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc 2 hour cast. Archived. |
157 | Oct 14 2013 | Lock & Key. The first part of the show was a repeat cast of the show from August 16, 2011, due to the Cardinals being involved in the NLCS. Sorry, but Cardinal playoff baseball takes precedence. |
156 | Oct 07 2013 | Trouble |
155 | Sep 30 2013 | Rooms |
--- | Sep 25 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc 2 1/2 hour cast. A lot of these ad hoc casts are unstructured and meandering, to put it charitably. This one was definitely that. Archived. |
154 | Sep 23 2013 | Autumn. We've done this theme twice before. It's timely. |
--- | Sep 18 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc 90 minute cast. Played some vinyl. Archived. |
153 | Sep 16 2013 | Unbelievably small. This was a John Kerry quote regarding the much-discussed potential US action against Syria. I turned it into a theme, looking for songs about unbelievability or about smallness. |
152 | Sep 09 2013 | The 70's. Informally elected as the favorite musical decade of many OtC viewers. |
151 | Sep 02 2013 | Falsettos. Happy Labor Day everyone! Tonight's theme has nothing to do with Labor Day. |
150 | Aug 26 2013 | Tomorrow. The fourth in our "time" series. Also, it's officially our 150th show! |
149 | Aug 19 2013 | Meeting Up, Getting Together. With a nod to the big JTV caster Meat Up in Maine over the August 16-18 weekend. |
148 | Aug 12 2013 | Back to School once again. We had this theme previously on August 29 2011. Bill sat in again for awhile. |
--- | Aug 07 2013 | Unofficial ad hoc "bonus" cast in the afternoon. 2 hours, 40 minutes. Played songs for Jen's birthday on the 8th. Only appeared on cam the last few minutes of the cast. Archived. |
147 | Aug 05 2013 | Pretty Ugly. Also, a special guest appearance from my son "Bill." And with this show I began my 4th year of on-camera casting. I failed to mention it during the show because I didn't realize it at the time. |
146 | Jul 29 2013 | Tonight. This was the third in our "time" series of shows, after "Yesterday" and "Today". |
145 | Jul 22 2013 | Unusual Instrumentation, plus a visit to the Wall of Vinyl. I made a highlight which you used to be able to see at http://justin.tv/off_the_charts/c/2622539. However, JTV is now kaput, so the link won't work. |
144 | Jul 15 2013 | Ups and Downs |
143 | Jul 08 2013 | Jazz & Doo Wop combo feature. I wanted to revisit two of our most popular show themes one week after subjecting the viewers last week to too much JTV "inside baseball". Let's get back to what we're here for. |
142 | Jul 01 2013 | Today, and a nod to our northern friends on this Canada Day. This week was the second in our series of time-related themes, the first being "Yesterday" on June 10, 2013. Plus, viewers were "treated" to (or had to endure) a rant on the lack of love given to viewers and webcasters by JTV. This because of the latest JTV changes that gave us prettier site cosmetics while removing features, utility, and user customization options. |
141 | Jun 24 2013 | Summer |
140 | Jun 17 2013 | Fathers. Yesterday was Father's Day in the US, the UK, and Canada. |
139 | Jun 10 2013 | Yesterday. This wasn't just songs of yesterday metaphorically. This theme was for songs that referenced yesterday literally, as in the day before today. In the weeks ahead, we will do similar themes for "today", "tonight", and "tomorrow". There are lots of songs for each one of those. |
138 | Jun 03 2013 | Canadians. New channel page design with the channel name incorporated into the background image. |
137 | May 27 2013 | Memorial Day (no anti-war/anti-military songs, please) + Strong & Weak + Remembering Ed Shaughnessy. I thought it might be a little difficult to come up with requests that pertain only to Memorial Day without sliding into general patriotism, so I added the secondary theme of Weakness & Strength. The background image showed the Vietnam War Memorial Wall. JTV began inserting mid-roll ads into the streams of all channels, except for Pro users and those who block ads. The mid-roll ads preempt whatever the caster is streaming at that time. I'm assuming the viewers will do what they need to do to ensure that they will continue to receive the Off the Charts cast in a satisfactory manner. |
136 | May 20 2013 | Saxophonics + Remembering Ray Manzarek + Victoria Day. Third time for Saxophonics. JTV changed the position of the channel header on all channels so that the header would appear below the video window and below some of the other elements (like the Follow button). I elected to remove the Off the Charts header altogether, feeling that the channel looked better without it rather than where JTV had placed it. |
135 | May 13 2013 | Babies. Yesterday was Mother's Day in the US. |
134 | May 06 2013 | Guns. Last weekend was the annual NRA convention so the theme seemed timely. It also was the Kentucky Derby. They shoot horses, don't they? |
133 | Apr 29 2013 | Youth, excluding babies. There are now 156,000 tracks in the Off the Charts vault from which viewers may select. People still managed to ask for things I didn't have, some of which were not particularly obscure. I'll keep pecking away. |
132 | Apr 22 2013 | Remember/Forget. Remembering Richie Havens & Christina Amphlett. The show schedule is officially extended to a target ending time of 1am (4 hours total) effective this week. We've been going that late most weeks recently anyway, so I decided to promote the cast accordingly. 1am Central is only 11pm on the West Coast, so hopefully this change will benefit those folks. 1am is about my limit, so I don't expect that the cast will continue the trend of ending later and later as the months go on. |
131 | Apr 15 2013 | Please & Thank You |
130 | Apr 08 2013 | Wisdom. The opposite of the theme from the week before, which ended up being too much of a stretch. Remembering Annette Funicello. |
129 | Apr 01 2013 | Fools. For April Fool's Day, of course. New channel graphics debuted with a flame motif. I wanted to go for a simpler look. I would continue to work on the design off-and-on over the next few months. |
128 | Mar 25 2013 | All-Time Top 50 Jazz Musicians. See note on Jan 7 2013 show. |
127 | Mar 18 2013 | Surf Music. Remembering Alvin Lee. |
126 | Mar 11 2013 | Disco |
125 | Mar 04 2013 | The Church. This theme wasn't about religion per se, but rather about the Church as an institution in people's daily lives. The theme came to mind because of the Pope's resignation and because of The Bible TV mini-series. |
124 | Feb 25 2013 | Number 1's |
123 | Feb 18 2013 | Organistan (music featuring the organ) |
122 | Feb 11 2013 | Kissing. Valentine's Day was coming up in 3 days. |
121 | Feb 04 2013 | Selling & Buying. This theme came to mind because of the Super Bowl ads. |
120 | Jan 28 2013 | Musical Questions |
119 | Jan 21 2013 | Power. The theme came to mind because of Inauguration Day. |
118 | Jan 14 2013 | Doo Wop. We love doo wop here at OtC. |
117 | Jan 07 2013 | Bop and Other Jazz. This show received a lot of positive feedback. I'm going to try to do jazz more often in the future. See also Jul 28 2011. |
116 | Jan 01 2013 | 2012 Memoriam. Remembering musicians who passed away in 2012. See the May 3 2013 entry in "Tidbits" for more info. (Tuesday night show, holiday schedule.) |
115 | Dec 30 2012 | Sounds of the 50s. (Sunday night show, holiday schedule.) |
--- | Dec 24 2012 | No cast. Christmas Eve. |
114 | Dec 17 2012 | Guy Names. Final regular Monday night show of 2012. |
113 | Dec 10 2012 | Songs about Singing |
112 | Dec 03 2012 | Fads |
111 | Nov 26 2012 | Black Friday. The shopping day "Black Friday" had just happened. This theme had songs about the color "black" or the day of the week "Friday". |
110 | Nov 19 2012 | Gratitude & Prayer. Looking forward to Thanksgiving later this week. First show at Off the Charts. |
109 | Nov 12 2012 | House and Home. A reaction to Hurricane Sandy. Final show on the Arse Musica channel. |
-- | Nov 05 2012 | No cast. My better half's birthday. We had a nice dinner somewhere. |
108 | Oct 29 2012 | Hurricane Sandy. This was the evening that Sandy made landfall in NJ, and before we knew how devastating the storm would be. |
107 | Oct 22 2012 | "Joint Cast" replay with Sassalot from Feb 23 2011, plus a little more Motown (continued from the previous week). That night was Game 7 of the NLCS between the Cardinals and the Giants, so I put on the repeat show while the game was on, and then appeared live on cam later. As it turned out, I could have skipped the game. The Cards got walloped. |
106 | Oct 15 2012 | Motown. This theme was done at Dobot's suggestion. Unfortunately, he wasn't here that week, so he missed it. |
105 | Oct 08 2012 | Promises & Lies. We were at the height of the political season and in the middle of the debates, hence the theme. |
104 | Oct 01 2012 | Talk, i.e., songs about talking |
103 | Sep 24 2012 | Autumn. Second time for this theme. See Sep 26 2011. |
102 | Sep 17 2012 | The Mind |
101 | Sep 10 2012 | Time. As I began the 3rd official year of the show, the library track count is up to around 133,000, an increase of about a third from a year earlier. By this time, my main interest is in filling holes within the areas of the cast's focus and in upgrading the quality of some of the tracks. My only solace is that, since I'm concentrating on past decades, there's only so much content out there. Eventually, I ought to hit a plateau, oughtn't I? |
100 | Sep 03 2012 | Instrumentals. Our 2nd anniversary show, based on the way I was counting back then. Also, our 100th official show, although no one knew it at the time. |
99 | Aug 27 2012 | The Moon, and remembering Neil Armstrong |
98 | Aug 20 2012 | Songs x 2. This theme involved playing the same song twice, performed by different artists. As I recall, this theme didn't resonate all that well. |
97 | Aug 13 2012 | Revenge of the Synth (songs featuring the synthesizer) |
96 | Aug 08 2012 | Viewers' Choice. Special Wednesday show to make up for missing the Monday before. |
-- | Aug 06 2012 | No cast. I think we were out of town. |
95 | Jul 30 2012 | International, i.e., songs that referenced an "international" location |
94 | Jul 23 2012 | Wealth. Thinking about Occupy, the 1 percenters, and tax increases which were being discussed a lot at the time. People were always being exhorted to "pay their fair share", as if by following the tax code, they somehow weren't. |
93 | Jul 16 2012 | Trumpetude (songs featuring the trumpet or other brass instruments) |
92 | Jul 09 2012 | Electricity, including a lot of songs about "lightning". |
91 | Jul 02 2012 | Declarations of Independence. Some people didn't quite get the intent of this theme, thinking it was about American independence and patriotism. My idea was to feature songs about personal independence, i.e., being assertive or taking control of one's life. |
90 | Jun 25 2012 | Summer. Third time around for this theme. |
89 | Jun 18 2012 | Saxophonics for the 2nd time, see Dec 5 2011 |
88 | Jun 11 2012 | The 50 States, week 2. We managed to get all 50 states covered. |
87 | Jun 04 2012 | The 50 States, week 1. Prior to the show, I obtained an image of an example of each state's "Welcome to xxx" road sign which I displayed as we played a song for that state. I also had a US map where the state got colored when its song was played. |
-- | May 28 2012 | No cast. Memorial Day. |
86 | May 21 2012 | Obscurities |
85 | May 14 2012 | Endings & Beginnings |
84 | May 07 2012 | Mother and Number 1's (two separate themes this week) |
83 | Apr 30 2012 | Happiness |
82 | Apr 23 2012 | Colors |
81 | Apr 16 2012 | No theme this week due to JTV technical problems, although we did do a cast. |
80 | Apr 09 2012 | Healthcare, week 2 |
79 | Apr 02 2012 | Healthcare, week 1 |
78 | Mar 26 2012 | Astronomical Objects |
77 | Mar 19 2012 | Ain'ts and Saints. This entailed songs with either "ain't" or "saint" something in the title. In retrospect, it was a stretch. |
76 | Mar 12 2012 | Animal-named Groups, week 2 |
75 | Mar 05 2012 | Animal-named Groups, week 1 |
74 | Feb 27 2012 | Black History Month. For this theme, we were featuring black musicians of note. |
73 | Feb 20 2012 | Party |
72 | Feb 13 2012 | Valentine's Day theme. Remembering Whitney Houston. |
71 | Feb 06 2012 | Super songs, plus Number 1's (two themes this week). Beginning this week, the casts started to run until around 12:30am on a regular basis, making each show about 3 1/2 hours long, up from 3 hours prior to this. A lot of weeks, we would get the most viewers during the final hour of the cast, probably due to Pacific time zone viewers coming online. As we moved into 2013, the casts continued to creep toward the 4 hour mark on a consistent basis. |
-- | Jan 30 2012 | No cast. I think we were out of town. |
70 | Jan 23 2012 | The Number One (i.e., songs about a single person or thing). Remembering Etta James. |
69 | Jan 16 2012 | Dreams |
68 | Jan 08 2012 | New Year. A lot of the songs had to do with vices associated with New Year's resolutions, e.g., smoking, or just resolutions in general. Special Sunday night show for reasons I don't remember, but might have been so I could watch the BCS Championship game the next night. |
-- | Jan 02 2012 | No cast this week due to the holidays. |
-- | Dec 26 2011 | No cast this week due to the holidays. |
67 | Dec 19 2011 | Murder, week 2. This was the final cast of 2011. |
66 | Dec 12 2011 | Murder, week 1. Our Christmas-themed show. I was looking for light-hearted murder songs, not gruesome or depressing ones. I remember one of the graphics was a cartoon Santa firing a machine gun. |
65 | Dec 05 2011 | Saxophonics, our first instrument-themed show. |
64 | Nov 28 2011 | Siblings (music by groups that have as members at least one set of siblings) |
63 | Nov 21 2011 | Thanksgiving. Most of the songs focused on family (relatives), giving thanks, or the food aspect of Thanksgiving. |
62 | Nov 14 2011 | Discovery, week 2. We started out playing some miscellaneous obscure 60s songs, then ended up playing a bunch of Beach Boys, Aretha, and Elvis. |
61 | Nov 07 2011 | Discovery, week 1. Just a bunch of lesser-known great tunes primarily from the 50s and 60s. |
60 | Oct 31 2011 | Halloween |
59 | Oct 24 2011 | No theme this week. It was a short cast, starting around 11pm, for reasons I don't remember. Might have been a baseball-related conflict. |
58 | Oct 17 2011 | Cars (the vehicle, not the band) |
-- | Oct 10 2011 | No cast this week |
57 | Oct 03 2011 | Focus on 1960 |
56 | Sep 26 2011 | Autumn |
55 | Sep 19 2011 | Girl Groups |
54 | Sep 12 2011 | Psychedelia (again... see July 2011) |
53 | Sep 04 2011 | Labor Day show |
52 | Aug 29 2011 | Back to School |
51 | Aug 22 2011 | Beatles covers. Approximately 95,000 tracks now available, more than doubling my collection from just 6 months earlier. I'm still encountering a discouraging number of requests that I don't have. The good news in a way is, I'm still finding a lot of great music out there, including a lot I'd never heard before, or even heard OF before. |
50 | Aug 16 2011 | Vocalists of the 40s |
49 | Aug 08 2011 | Summer |
-- | Aug 01 2011 | No cast. Out of town. |
48 | Jul 28 2011 | Bop. Special Thursday night show due to upcoming travel plans. |
47 | Jul 25 2011 | Psychedelia, week 3. I think we've probably covered the genre adequately by now. |
46 | Jul 18 2011 | Psychedelia, week 2. Too many good songs to only do one show. |
45 | Jul 11 2011 | Psychedelia, week 1 |
44 | Jul 04 2011 | Independence Day show |
43 | Jun 27 2011 | No theme |
42 | Jun 20 2011 | Fleetwood Mac, history and spinoffs. No requests were taken during this show as I presented a timeline from before the band's inception through the members' most recent projects. |
41 | Jun 13 2011 | Fathers |
-- | Jun 06 2011 | No cast this week |
40 | May 30 2011 | Travel. (Memorial Day kicks off the summer vacation season.) |
39 | May 23 2011 | Bob Dylan, in honor of his 70th birthday |
38 | May 16 2011 | May. Starting this week, the cast moved up to a 9pm start time, with a target ending time of midnight. I was dragging too much on Tuesdays and needed to turn in earlier. |
37 | May 09 2011 | Flowers |
36 | May 02 2011 | Mothers |
35 | Apr 25 2011 | Rain (again) |
34 | Apr 18 2011 | Dance for the first part of the show, then no apparent theme later. Beginning this week, I saved the playlist from every "official" show. |
33 | Apr 11 2011 | No apparent theme. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. |
32 | Apr 04 2011 | Rain. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. |
31 | Mar 28 2011 | Insanity, week 2. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. |
30 | Mar 21 2011 | Insanity, week 1. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. |
29 | Mar 14 2011 | Green things. Beginning this week, themes became a weekly feature, with very few exceptions. Viewers seemed to like the themed shows better than the unstructured shows. |
28 | Mar 07 2011 | No apparent theme. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. |
27 | Feb 28 2011 | No apparent theme. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. With a lot of effort, I was up to about 41,000 tracks. By this time, I'd come to realize that there was a WHOLE lot more music out there that people wanted to hear. If I wanted to do this kind of a show right, I needed a lot more content to be available. |
26 | Feb 23 2011 | Joint Cast with Sassalot. This special Wednesday night cast featured alternating segments between myself (Gil) and the proprietor of Hot Mess Radio, Sassalot. I called the resulting collaboration Hot Mensch Radio. We simulcast on Arse Musica (the Off the Charts predecessor) and her Shoutcast & JTV channels. We did this on a Wednesday as an extra show. Since the format was so different from the regular Monday shows, I thought it would be better not to deviate from what the viewers had come to expect on a Monday night, i.e., the ability to make requests. I was probably being overly cautious. I also remember being as nervous as heck. |
25 | Feb 21 2011 | A few songs about the sun, then no apparent theme, then a President's Day segment. My playlist from this cast is incomplete. |
24 | Feb 14 2011 | Love |
23 | Feb 07 2011 | No theme this week. |
22 | Jan 31 2011 | Arab Demonstrations. The songs we played had to do with Arabs, rioting & demonstrating, and the desert environment. The demonstrations had only just begun in Tunisia and elsewhere. No one was calling it the Arab Spring yet, and of course no one knew how it would turn out. At this stage, it was just another curious thing going on in the world. |
21 | Jan 24 2011 | Winning and Losing. Inspired by the Super Bowl. |
20 | Jan 17 2011 | Kings. Inspired by MLK Day. |
19 | Jan 10 2011 | Hot and Cold. In early January, it was plenty cold. |
18 | Jan 04 2011 | New Year's theme plus Viewer Choice. Tuesday night cast, probably due to a bowl game the night before that I wanted to see. Beginning with this cast, I started to incorporate themes more consistently. |
17 | Dec 27 2010 | No theme this week. |
16 | Dec 20 2010 | No theme this week. |
15 | Dec 13 2010 | Nonsense Words |
-- | Dec 06 2010 | No cast this week. |
14 | Nov 29 2010 | No theme this week. |
13 | Nov 22 2010 | No theme this week. |
-- | Nov 15 2010 | No cast this week. |
12 | Nov 10 2010 | No theme. Wednesday night cast. After this cast, I settled into a once-a-week cast on Monday nights, with occasional exceptions. I thought it would be a good idea to establish a regular night and time and then stick with it. |
11 | Nov 08 2010 | No theme this week. |
10 | Nov 07 2010 | Nighttime. Sunday night cast. |
9 | Nov 03 2010 | No theme. Wednesday night cast. I have an archived 1-hour cast from around this date labeled "Living in the Past with Gil" that might be this cast. |
8 | Nov 01 2010 | The Election. The midterm elections would happen the next day. |
7 | Oct 31 2010 | No theme, somewhat surprisingly, since it was Halloween. At this point, I was still casting on an ad hoc basis whenever I had free time in the late evening. Sunday night cast. |
6 | Oct 27 2010 | Politics & Campaigns. Wednesday night cast. |
5 | Oct 25 2010 | No theme. On this date, I had about 29,000 tracks available on disk, up from about 25,000 just a couple of months earlier. Naively, I thought I was in pretty good shape. Few of the shows in 2010 had many viewers and requests weren't as important in driving content as they became later. |
4 | Oct 18 2010 | No theme. At this time I was just casting on an ad hoc basis whenever I found that I had time available in the evening. Start times were sporadic. I was really just getting my feet wet and getting comfortable casting on JTV with the webcam and mic. The next couple of months were a time of experimentation. |
3 | Oct 14 2010 | Chilean Mine Rescue. Thursday mid-day show. My playlist for this show is incomplete. |
-- | Sep/Oct 2010 | I have no records of any casts between Sep 5 and Oct 13. There likely were some as I began to refine what I wanted to do on JTV. Those casts would have been shorter in duration than the shows I started doing later in October. |
2 | Sep 04 2010 | The unofficial "Ricky Live" Pre-Show. I had been viewing Ricky for awhile and decided that I would like to try my hand at doing what he did. I decided to front-run his cast and then sign off when he started up his cast later that night. Coincidentally at around this time, Ricky cut back on his casting schedule considerably, so I ended up doing a pre-show for a Ricky cast that seldom happened. Some of the "no theme" casts over the next few weeks fell into this category. Then I decided I should really just do my own show and not ride the coattails of another caster. |
-- | Aug 2010 | No records remain of webcasts done during the month of August 2010. |
1 | Jul 30 2010 | Summer. This is the first cast I'm aware of where I appeared on camera. After casting off-and-on for awhile using slide shows and films for the video component of the show, I finally concluded that a caster who doesn't appear on camera won't attract any viewers to speak of, and no regulars. Since I did appear on camera briefly and there was a theme, I'll count this as the first official show. It was a Friday night. Pre-Craig, by the way, as he didn't start casting on Justin.tv ("JTV", now gone) until the end of 2010. |
-- | 2009-2010 | An unknown number of casts occurred at random times and on random dates from mid-2009 to mid-2010. These casts were music and voice-over paired with slides, movies, or visualization screen caps. I don't recall attracting any regular viewers during this time. |
-- | Aug 02 2009 | No theme. The show started at about 5pm and went for about 90 minutes. This is my earliest cast that I have a record of. Video was likely just a static image, and it probably was music-only, no mic. I don't think I attracted any chatters. A humbling experience. |
